Here are the functioning Metro lines:<\/p>\n<p>M1 &#8211; This line operates between Atat\u00fcrk International Airport and Aksaray in Fatih, where you can join the tramway at the nearby Yusufpa\u015fa stop to Sultanahmet and Beyo\u011flu.<\/p>\n<p>M2 &#8211; Since February 15 2014, this line uses the new Golden Horn Metro bridge and operates between Yenikap\u0131 and Hac\u0131osman, with stops in Hali\u00e7, \u015ei\u015fhane (close to T\u00fcnel\/Galata), Taksim Square, Osmanbey (close to Ni\u015fanta\u015f\u0131), \u015ei\u015fi\/Mecideyk\u00f6y, Gayrettep, Levent, 4. Levent, Sanay\u0131, Seyrantepe, \u0130T\u00dc, Atat\u00fcrk Oto Sanay\u0131, and Daru\u015f\u015fafaka.<\/p>\n<p>M3 \u2013 Since June 2013, this line runs between Kirazli-Ba\u011fcilar to Ba\u015fak\u015fehir-Metrokant or Olimpiyat,<\/p>\n<p>M4 \u2013 Since August 2012, this lines runs between Kadik\u00f6y and Kartal (this is the only full-scale Metro line that runs on the Asian side).<\/p>\n<p>M5 &#8212; The M5 has a total of 16 stations (between Usk\u00fcdar and \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y). Together with these 16 stations, eight more are planned within the M5&#8217;s eastward extension to Sultanbeyli.<\/p>\n<p>M6 \u2013 Since April 19 2015, this is a light-metro line that connects Levent metro station with the Bosphorus district of Etiler and Bosphorus University.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These are the disposable paper electronic fare cards for a pre-determined number of trips:<\/p>\n<p>BIRGe\u00e7 Fares 1; Price TL5; Cost per ride TL5.00<br \/>\nBIRGe\u00e7 Fares 2; Price TL8; Cost per ride TL4.00<\/p>\n<p>BIRGe\u00e7 Fares 3; Price TL11; Cost per ride TL3.67<\/p>\n<p>BIRGe\u00e7 Fares 5; Price TL17; Cost per ride TL3.40<\/p>\n<p>BIRGe\u00e7 Fares 10; Price TL32; Cost per ride TL3.20<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can buy disposable fare cards from Biletmatik machines (which issues the above-mentioned paper electronic fare cards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following web link show a map of the Istanbul Metro system:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.metro.istanbul\/YolcuHizmetleri\/AgHaritalari<\/p>\n<p>Marmaray Line &#8212; this is not technically a Metro line, but it is an underground rail link between the European and Asian sides of Istanbul. The line goes beneath the Bosphorus, connecting Sirkeci near Sultanahmet to \u00dcsk\u00fcdar on the Asian side.
